What others have said about this hotel:

• Great location, bland rooms, cranky proprietor, good price and overall value. Steep, winding staircase.

• Great value considering it's on the Seine. After all, I only needed the room to sleep in at night. If you're looking for amenities, don't stop here. If cost is of importance, then this is the place.

• More than excellent location: 4 or 5 block away of the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Concergerie, Saint Chapelle, etc. Round the corner it's a Metro station with several lines to go any place and even better several sight seing line busses in the door And... from the window of your room you are facing the Sena, the passing "Bateaux Mouche" at nights. Rooms are big and clean, realy low rates considering what you get for it. And Mr and Mrs Benoit the owners are nice persons

• Yes, Mr Benoit is cranky. But he was fair to us. Our room was clean. The location is great!
